Structural Shift - How it Happens

Any trauma to the head and neck such as falls or auto accidents may cause a Structural Shift. The most common age range for an injury is from birth to age 5. If it’s not the birth process itself, it may be learning to walk or climbing up on things and falling. These accidents and injuries can damage the connective tissues that hold the head and neck together, creating a structural weakness allowing the spine to break down and lock into a stressed position. You can still move and get around, but the stress is always there. That is why Dr. Oram is so passionate about taking care of children – to correct the primary problem before any secondary symptoms set in.
